Scope
Envirochem attended the site in Eversley and identified areas where high levels of noise were expected, with the help of the health and safety officer. Six locations were found and a calibrated Cassella CEL 620B Class I Integrating sound meter with octave bad filter was used to record levels of noise reported in LAmax and LAeq at each location as well as frequency band analysis following the Control of Noise at Work regulations 2005.
The results of the Noise Survey can be used to inform employers as to whether specific personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for their employees to work safely in high level noise conditions and whether hearing protection zones are required.
How we Helped
Envirochem visited the waste processing site to carry out a noise survey of various areas within the site to identify exposure of employees to high levels of noise.
