After a successful tendering process, Envirochem was awarded the contract to provide surveying and analytical services to Selwood Housing. Envirochem are responsible for organising a large number of management surveys of various Housing stock in the relevant timescales. Additional analytical services include bulk analysis of bulk materials for asbestos content, air testing and consulting services, providing the client with a comprehensive analytical package.
To survey the housing stock on the clients behalf, once the addresses and contacts are made available, Envirochem liaise with the Tenants to make suitable appointment times when our surveyors can visit and carry out the relevant survey, with minimum disruption to the tenant. In all cases, Envirochem make three attempts to access each property, and inform our client on properties that liaising with the tenant prove difficult. During the surveying, our surveyors liaise with the tenants to allow as much of the property to be surveyed as possible. If properties become void, these become priority to allow the property to be refurbished and reoccupied in the shortest duration. In addition, when required, Envirochem carry out emergency sampling when urgent maintenance is required. These samples are taken back to our bulk identification laboratory the same day so results can be issued in the shortest possible time, giving the client the quick turnaround they require.
Other analytical services supply includes all types of air testing, including reassurance, background and four stage clearance procedures.
The main scope of the contract is to provide analytical services to the client, enabling the client to manage their asbestos within their housing stock efficiently and ensuring compliance with the Control Of Asbestos Regulations.
